Intake and insurance verification

HIO verifies your insurance benefits for home infusion therapy and/or home health care, ensuring you're clear on coverage.

To begin your home infusion journey, simply complete an intake form with your basic patient and insurance details.

If we don't already have your prescription and clinical documentation, we'll quickly contact your prescribing doctor to obtain the necessary information.

Authorization Process

Our dedicated team handles the complex steps required to secure your treatment:

We submit your prescription and clinical documentation to your insurance company for prior authorization.
This authorization covers every necessary component: the biologic medication, required supplies, and your in-home nursing services.
You're kept fully informed about your authorization status and all next steps.

Welcome & Scheduling

You'll receive a welcome email with a clear list of your assigned contacts: your Pharmacy Technician, your Infusion Nurse, and your Billing Specialist.

Your Infusion Nurse will reach out to schedule your at-home infusion at your preferred time and chosen location (home, work, etc.).
Medication and supplies are conveniently delivered directly to you 2–3 days before your scheduled infusion.

What to expect

We believe continuity is critical to quality care and a positive patient experience:

You'll be paired with the same nurse for every infusion, allowing you to build a trusting, consistent relationship.
Your nurse will accommodate your schedule, providing flexible care at home, work, or another safe location.
During the initial call, your nurse will answer all your questions about the medication and the infusion process.
